Description
The papers of Daniel Doan contain articles, correspondence, clippings, photographs, financial records, pamphlets, research notes and manuscripts for articles, short stories and books including "Fifty More Hikes in New Hampshire." The material chronicles his personal life and professional life as a writer. Of note are the extensive diaries kept by Doan, detailing his life from 1935-1990, including his writing struggles, his love for his family and, in later years, his battles with ill health.
