Description

The collection contains sheet music of popular orchestrations from the late 19th and early 20th century, arranged by date of their creation. Publishers include the "Jacobs' Orchestra Monthly," Harms Incorporated, Sam Fox Publishing Company, New World Music Corporation, Mills Music Publishing, Robbins Music Corporation and Remick Music Corporation. The collection was probably put together by Burton W. Nash, whose name is stamped on each item. Each item also has a typewritten date ranging from 1936 to 1940, possibly indicating when the music was used or performed.
