Dartmouth College. Development Office

Perhaps the first organized capital campaign was the fundraising effort to rebuild Dartmouth Hall in 1904, which led to the creation of the Alumni Fund. The Development Office evolved from these fundraising operations, previously primarily overseen by Alumni Affairs.
