The NDEA Summer Institute was a program for Secondary School Teachers of Russian, funded through the National Defence Education Act. It was held at Dartmouth College from 1960 to 1967.

Collection contains budgets, press releases, lecture schedules, activities bulletins, text book descriptions, evaluations and final reports of the summer institutes. Includes correspondence from participants commenting about the program, and the proposal for the Institute. Russian Institution Reel to Reel audio recordings are also included.
