Biography
In 1970, John R. Scotford, the assistant director in charge of promotional material design and of the curation and installation of exhibits in public areas, became college designer. He retired in 1975 and continued as a free-lance designer of the college, for area town celebrations and for other organizations and individuals.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains playbills and copies of College publications designed by John Scotford as College designer. Also contains Hopkins Center promotional material and playbills, and Hopkins Center construction specifications. Some photographs and other graphic material used by Scotford in designs is also included.
