Biography

Phi Zeta Mu was founded in 1857; it was associated with the Chandler Scientific Dept. Sigma Chi, its successor, was founded in 1893. In 1960 the fraternity ceased to be affiliated with the national organization of Sigma Chi and changed its name to The Tabard.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains records including constitution, meting minutes, petitions, reports and financial records, as well as the biographical information on members of the fraternity. The material documents the activities and organization of Eta Eta Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity at Dartmouth College. A photo album with photographs of fraternity brothers in the 1880s, and a folder with photographs of fraternity brothers in 1980 are also included.
