Biography
Dartmouth in Politics was organized as a service agency under the direction of professors Harold J. Tobin and James P. Richardson. The agency was intended to encourage young alumni to participate in politics by helping them to make contacts among older alumni already involved in politics.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains correspondence, committee material, newspaper and magazine articles about the Dartmouth in Politics program, as well as material regarding similar programs at other colleges. Correspondence with young alumni interested in participating in the program, as well as correspondence with older alumni asked to be "contact men," including file cards with names, addresses, and party affiliation are also included.
