Biography
Gamma Delta Epsilon, which was organized at Dartmouth College in 1907, gained affiliation with a national fraternity in 1928 and became Kappa Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma. In 1935, it relinquished its national affiliation and changed its name to Gamma Delta Chi, in honor of Gamma Delta Epsilon and another early Dartmouth fraternity, Alpha Chi Rho.

Scope and Contents
The collection contains records of the Gamma Delta Chi fraternity, including meeting minutes and correspondence, as well as a warranty deed for land on which house of the Gamma Delta Chi is located. Material relating to the history of the fraternity and material relating to the vote to disband Gamma Delta Epsilon, the predecessor of Gamma Delta Chi, is also included.
