Phoenix (Fraternity)

 

Biography

Phoenix was founded in 1982 and is the second-oldest all female senior society. The society draws from a cross section of women leaders to carry on its mission of promoting co-education at Dartmouth. In 2020, Phoenix officially opened its membership to non-male leaders, and began tapping nonbinary undergraduates as well.(formerly Phi Gamma Delta, Delta Nu Chapter)

Scope and Contents

The collection contains correspondence, meeting minutes, election materials, treasurer's reports and other financial records, as well as the constitution for Phoenix, photographs, and legal documents including deeds, documenting the Delta Nu chapter of Phi Gamma Delta and its local successor, Phoenix, at Dartmouth College.
