Stefansson Library
Biography
The Stefansson Library was the personal library of Arctic explorer and author, Viljalmur Stefansson, and was focused on polar exploration and regions. The library was gifted to Dartmouth College and forms the nucleus of the Staffansson Collection at Rauner Special Collections Library at Dartmouth.

Collection contains translations of reports, monographs, and bibliographies on subjects related to the study of Arctic regions. Collection includes material translated from Russian and Scandinavian languages into English by the staff of the Stefansson Library for private and government agencies
