Biography
The Work Projects Administration bibliography on the Polar Regions begun in 1937, was cosponsored by the Explorers Club and by the Brooklyn Museum. Viljalmur Stefansson was president of the Explorers Club at the time and was instrumental in the organization of the project. His library and expertise in the subject were also of great importance.
