Biography
The de la Mare family is one of the oldest in Normandy and takes its name from de la Mare Castle in Normandy. As most Norman families, the de la Mares are descended from the norsemen who invaded Normandy during the 9th century and the peoples who inhabited the ancient Roman Gaul.
