Allan Bancroft and Jonathan Wright Coggeshall were born April 23, 1915, in Pleasantville, NY. They graduated from Dartmouth College in 1937. Allan became a surgeon with a practice in Greensboro, North Carolina. In 1958, he became the first medical examiner in the state. From 1968, until his retirement in 1978 ,he was a emergency room physician at Cone Memorial Hospital. Jonathan attended the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth and majored in engineering, receiving his professional civil engineer degree in 1938. From 1950 to 1992, Jonathan ran his own consulting-engineering firm in Pleasantville, NY. He died in 1993. Allan died in 1997.
