Biography

Roy B. Chamberlin was born in 1888. He joined the faculty as professor of religion at Dartmouth College in 1927. He served as director of chapel and officiated at many college functions before retitring in 1956. In 1950, he and Herman Feldman edited and abridged the Bible, calling it "The Dartmouth Bible," whic was published by Houghton and Mifflin. It was a version of the King James Bible, with modern paragraphing, explanatory notes, an index and other features. Chamberlin died on January 13, 1967.
