Cornell, Frank Beidler, 1909-2001
Biography
Frank Beidler Cornell was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1909. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1931. He joined a a general wholesaling company in Chicago before co-founding S. Tasylor Leavitt and Associates, a package design firm. From 1942 to 1945 he served as an intelligence officer with the US Navy in the Pacific after which he returned to his packaging business. Frank Cornell died in 2001.
and began a career in commercial art n 192_ he entered Dartmouth College, where he majored in English graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1931. After college Cornell spent time in North Dakota before returning to Chicago and beginning a career in wholesale goods and then co-founding a package design firm.
As a Lieutenant Commander in World War II Cornell served the Navy as an intelligence officer primarily in the Pacific. Returning to the states after the war Cornell would focus on the preservation of his Chicago townhouse and, later, a Wisconsin farm house. Post war also saw Cornell engage himself in his writing.
