Biography
Col. Thomas Perkins moved to Lyme, New Hampshire with his family around 1812. There, he constructed the Perkins Hotel; he and his son managed the business until 1869-1870. The tavern was then sold, and subsequently burned down a few decades later. While a resident in Lyme, Col. Perkins also served as town treasurer.
