Scope and Contents
Papers contain two letters which include desscriptions of Negro troops and of hospital life. Commissions, discharge papers and documents relating to military pension. Negative and prins of a tintype showing Mather and two comrades, Lansing Paine and Horatio Whitford. Tintype removed and shelved in Iconography 709. Also included is a typescript note on military service of Elisa Cummings Mather.
