Worcester, William Leonard, 1845-1901

 

Biography

William Leonard Worcester M.D was a physician and pathologist at the Danvers State (Insane) Hospital in Massachusetts. Worcester attended Dartmouth College in 1869 and graduated second in his class. He traveled abroad for a few years for medical study and returned with an interest in the pathology of insanity. He became a physician at Michigan Asylum at Kalamazoo for 10 years before moving on to State Asylum at Little Rock, AR for six years.
