Howe, Charles Marion, 1842-1897

 

Biography

Rev. Howe was graduated from the University of Iowa in 1867 and Dartmouth College in 1868, after which he spent two years at Auburn Theological Seminary and then his final year of seminary at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. He was ordained for Presbyterian ministry on November 17, 1871, by the Presbytery of Waterloo in Iowa. His first pastorate was at the Eldora and Point Pleasant Presbyterian Churches (1872-1879), after which he became to pastor the Presbyterian congregation at Janesville, Iowa (1880-1886), pastor at the Presbyterian Church in Dysart, Iowa (1887-1889), pastor at a a church in New Mexico (1890-1893), and then he went to Pasadena, California (1894-1896.
