Biography

Antoni Bolesław Dobrowolski was a Polish scientist, geophysicist, meteorologist and traveler. During 1897–1899 he took a part in Adrien de Gerlache's expedition on Belgica to explore the coast of Antarctica. Dobrowolski Island, in the Southern Ocean, is named after him.

Abstract

Antoni Boleslaw Dobrowolski (1872-1954), Polish scientist, geophysicist and meteorologist. Consist of an English summary of Dobrowolski's work, "Historja naturalna lodu," and a translation of the first two chapters of that work, by Major M. G. Bekker.
