Amsden, John Page, 1899-1976
Biography
John Amsden was born on May 23, 1899 in Attleboro, Mass. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1920 and in the same year was hired by the college as Professor of Chemistry. He retired with Emeritus status in 1965. He served on the campus facilities planning committees and was active with Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital and the Hanover School board. He died on April 1, 1976 in Hanover, NH.
