England, Carl David, 1900-1989

 

Biography

Carl England was born on Sept. 24, 1900 in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated with an AB from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1926 and was hired by Dartmouth College in 1938 as Professor of Speech. He was also the faculty parliamentarian, director of the speech clinic, member of the Great Issues Committee and moderator of the Hanover Precinct. He retired with Emeritus status in 1965 and died in 1989 in Surfside, Mass.
