Folger, Joseph Butler, 1898-1981

 

Biography

Joseph Folger was born on Dec. 14, 1898 in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1921 and in the same year was hired by the college as a member of the Romance Language Department, serving as department chairman from 1938-1942. He retired as Professor of Spanish Emeritus in 1965. He died in Nantucket, Mass. in 1981.
