Sikes, Earle Ray, 1895-1988
Biography
Earle Sikes was born on Feb. 5, 1895 in Charlotte, NC. He graduated from Trinity College in 1915 and was hired by Dartmouth College in 1922 as a member of he Economics Department. He was chairman of the department from 1933-1937 and retired as Professor of Economics Emeritus in 1960. Earle Sikes died in Wilmington, NC on March 26, 1988.
