Biography

Mrs. Robert Henrey was the pseudonym of Madeleine Mathilde Henry who was born in 1906 in France. She eventually settled in London, England where she met her husband Robert Henrey. Henrey was the author of over 30 books, mainly of an autobiographical nature, that enjoyed considerable fame in post-war Britain. Publications include "Delphine" (1947), "A Farm in Normandy" (1941), "An Exile in Soho," and "Mistress of Myself." Henrey died in 2004.

Abstract

Mrs.Robert Henrey (Madeline M. Henry) (1906-2004), French born writer. The collection contains the handwritten manuscript, in French, of notes for "Julia" Voume 3 by Madeleine Henrey. An explanation by Henrey of the autobiographical sequence of the content of the manuscript is also included.
