Biography
Olave Barbara Clementina Cunninghame Graham was born on 1 January 1884 in London, England. She was the daughter of Commander Charles Elphinstone Fleeming Cunninghame Graham and Mildred Emily Barbara Bagot. In 1915, she married Rear-Admiral Sir Basil Vernon Brooke. She was the niece of Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham. Lady Brooke died in 1966.

Abstract
Lady Olave Brooke (1884-1966). The collection contains letters from Lady Olave Brooke to Herbert F. West with copies of letters to West from Brooke. The letters contain numerous references to R.B. Cunninghame Graham, A.F. Tschiffely, London during World War II, sale of her house to Benjamin Britten in 1946, visits to the royal family, and family matters.
