Biography

Neil MacNeil was born on February 6, 1891 in Boston, Massachusetts. He became a journalist and was on the staff of the "New York Times" from 1918-1951. Publications include "Without Fear or Favor," "How to be a Newspaperman," "An American Peace," "Tales from a Bull Pen" and "The Highland Heart in Nova Scotia. From 1953-1955 he served with President Hoover, writing "The Hoover Report." MacNeil died on December 30, 1969.
