Biography
Maurice Picard was born on July 18, 1890 in Nyack, New York. He received his advanced degrees from Columbia University and New York University. In 1929, he became a professor of philosophy at Dartmouth College, receiving an honorary degree from Dartmouth at the same time. Picard died in 1970.

The collection contains correspondence with Curt John Ducasse (1935 ), notes, essays, and class syllabus on philosophical subjects as well as a book length manuscript on descriptive metaphysics (apparently not published).
