David Raphael Wang. Graduated from Dartmouth in 1955 with a bachelors in Comparative English Literature. Completed graduate studies at the Univeristy of Southern California and pursued a teaching career at several colleges, lecturing and publishing translations of Chinese and Polynesian poetry. Became a commissioner on minority groups and the study of language and literature for the Modern Language Association of America in 1975. Died in 1977, leaving spouse Yueh Fun Wang.
