Biography

Charlotte Armstrong Lewi was born on May 2, 1905 in Vulcan, Michigan. Under the names Charlotte Armstrong and Jo Valentine she wrote 29 novels, as well as short stories, plays, and screenplays. Armstrong also worked for "The New York Times" advertising department, as a fashion reporter for "Breath of the Avenue," "The New Yorker" and in an accounting firm. Publications include "The Case of the Weird Sisters" (1943), "Mischief" (1951), "A Dram of Poison" (1956), "The Cool Ones" (1965) and "Seven Seats to the Moon." Armstrong died on July 7, 1969.

Charlotte Armstrong (1905-1969), author. The collection contains typescripts, with handwritten corrections and printer's notations of her novels "Lay on, Mac Duff!" and "The Case of the Weird Sisters," published in 1941 and 1943 respectively.
