Andrew Hale Young (1827-1890), Union soldier and paymaster. The collection contains letters from Andrew Hale Young primarily to his wife describing experiences while stationed at Fort Jefferson, St. Augustine, and as paymaster and quartermaster in the Union Army during the Civil War. Other correspondents include John Parker Hale and Daniel Hall.
