Biography
Jedediah Parker Buckingham was born on April 7, 1758 in Lebanon, Connecticut. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1779 after which he studied law with Judge T Parsons of Newburyport Massachusetts before continuing his law studies at the Temple in London, England. After his return from England, he moved to Thetford, Vermont where he continued in the practice of his profession. Buckingham was a Counsellor, Clerk of the Probate Court and also Judge of Probate, and Judge of the County Court in Orange County Vermont as well as a a member of the Vermont House of Representatives for 10 years. Buckingham died on September 27, 1840.
