Biography
Franklin McDuffee was born on August 27, 1832 in Dover, New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1853, after which he read law for six months with Daniel M Christie of Dover. In 1854, he accepted a position as cashier in the Rochester State Bank. In 1866, he was appointed treasurer of the Norway Plains Savings Bank and in 1874, he became cashier of the Rochester National Bank. McDuffee joined the Congregational Church in 1868, and became deacon four years later. He died on November 11, 1880.
