Biography
Horace Chase was born on December 14, 1788 in Warner, NH. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1814. In 1821 he returned to Hopkington to pursue law in partnership with Matthew Harvey. He served in numerous local and state civil offices before becoming Judge of Probate for Merrimack County in 1833, a position he held until 1855. Chase died March 1, 1875 in Hopkinton, NH.
