Nathaniel Wright was born in 1789, in Hanover, New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1811, taught school in Maine and Virginia for several years, and finally removed to Cincinnati, Ohio. Wright was admitted to the bar in 1817, and began practicing law in private practice in 1818. He retired from practicing law in 1840. In 1857, Wright received a LL.D. degree from Dartmouth College. He died on May 20, 1875.
William Burnet Wright was born on April 15, 1838 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the youngest child of Nathaniel. William Burnett graduated from Dartmouth College in 1857. After graduation he worked as a railroad clerk until he entered Andover Theological Seminary in 1858. He graduated in 1860, after which he traveled in Europe for two years. In 1862, Wright became pastor of the South Congregational Church in Chicago, a position he held until 1867, when he became pastor of Berkley Street Church in Boston. In 1888, he received a DD degree from Dartmouth College. Wright retired from the active ministry in 1902 , and died August 2, 1924, in Buffalo, New York.
