Biography

Isaac Riddel Jr. was born on July 25, 1793 in Bedford, New Hampshire. He was a member of the firm "Isaac Riddle and Sons". The firm had business in Piscataquog Village, Bedford, Merrimack, NH and Boston, Mass. The company in the construction of the Union Locke and Canals including the connector between Concord, NH and Boston, MA. The company also owned saw-mills, grist-mills and extensive tracts of valuable woodland. Riddle died on October 3, 1875.
