Biography
Samuel Penniman Leeds was born November 15, 1824 in New York City. He graduated from the Union Theological Seminary in 1846. He received an honorary degree from Dartmouth College in 1870. From 1860-1900, Leeds was the minister at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College. He maintained emeritus status until his death on June 25, 1910.
