Biography

Amos Bagley Brown was born on March 11, 1804 in Kensington, New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1832 and from Hobart College in 1858 after which he became a Congregational Clergyman in Maine and New York and president of the People's College in New York (1857-1864). Brown died on August 16, 1874.
