Biography

Clara G Closer Turner Churchill was born on December 16, 1851. She was the wife of Frank C. Churchill. The couple travelled extensively in the Southwest and collected many native American artifacts, some of which were donated to the Hood Museum at Dartmouth College. Clara Churchill died April 6, 1945.

Abstract

Clara G. Churchill (1851-1945), essayist. The collection contains an essay on travels in Bermuda and an essay on an entertainment, called "The deestrick skule," staged on March 17, 1890 in Lebanon, N.H. as well as an autograph album, which includes the signature and sentiment of Laura Bridgeman.
