Biography

Edwin Webster Sanborn was born July 31, 1857. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1878. After graduation he studied law at Columbia University for a year before teaching Latin and Greek in the high school of St. Paul, Minnesota. He returned to law school in 1880 and was admitted to the bar in 1882. In 1884, he went into partnership with Jefferson Clark under the firm name of Clark & Sanborn and practiced law for the next ten to fifteen years, before becoming council to the American Agricultural Chemical Company. Sanborn died in 1928.

Edwin W. Sanborn (1857-1928), lawyer. Dartmouth College Class of 1878. The collection consists of manuscripts of his essays and studies on of fish, ichthyology Dartmouth College and Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity, including the unpublished "Freshwater Fish."
