Biography

Eugene Richard Musgrove was born on August 20, 1879 in Bristol, New Hampshire. He graduated with a BS from Dartmouth College in 1905 and an Am from Brown University in 1913. He taught at Worcester Academy, at McKenzie School in Dobbs, Ferry, NY, and Horace Mann School in New York City before settling in as the head of the English department at East Side High School in Newark, NJ. Musgrove's publications include "Composition and Literature," a texbook and school editions of "Rob Roy," "Conciliation" and "Nature Poems." Muzgrove died in 1970.

Abstract

Eugene Richard Musgrove (1879-1970), educator. Dartmouth College Class of 1905. The collection contains a commonplace book and English lecture notes used while a lecturer at Dartmouth as well as letters of recommendation for positions.
