Biography

Chandler Titsworth Green was born on September 17, 1894 in Hartford Connecticut. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1916. During World War I, he served with the American Expeditionary Forces from 1917-1919 after which he worked for the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1959 as Assistant Secretary of the Reinsurance Department which he organized in 1920. He died in 1967.

David Sherman Green was born in 1897 in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1919. During World War I, he served in the 101st Machine Gun Battalion from 1917-1919 after which he joined the Foreign Service of the United States and after spending several years with the American Embassy in Paris, he served in various European and Latin American capitals. His last post before retiring in 1955 was as commercial attache in Havana, Cuba. He died July 31, 1967.

Alfred Morgan Green was born on September 30, 1899 in Hartford. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1921. After graduation, he worked as a reporter for the "Springfield Republican" and the Albany Evening News." In 1923, he became a copyreader on the "Syracuse Post Standard," becoming editor in 1944. He stayed in that position until 1949 when moved to Washington, DC and joined the staff of "Labor" a weekly newspaper published by the Railroad Brotherhood. He died on April 15, 1954.
