Biography
Joseph Loverling Richards was born September 14, 1886 in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1912 and from the University of Michigan in 1914. Richards was a consulting forester in Boston. He died in 1959.

Joseph L. Richards (1886-1959), forester. Dartmouth College Class of 1912. The collection contains papers including field notes, graphs, weather notes, data and some correspondence related to diseases in pine trees, especially pine blister rust in Temple, N.H., area compiled by Jospeh L. Richards.
