Biography
Byrd E. Brown was born in 1880 in East Corinth, Vermont. She married Harry Hayes Miles in 1898. They farmed and kept stores in Bradford and Ely, Vermont until 1927, when they moved to Inglewood, California where Harry became a house painter. Byrd became interested in genealogy as a means of keeping busy during periods of ill-health. In 1948, she had a genealogy of the Joseph Miles family privately printed. She went on to compile several lengthy genealogies of the Brown, Durgin and Kennerson-Keniston families. In 1952, the Miles' returned to Vermont, living with a daughter in North Hartland. Harry died in 1956. In 1958, Byrd finished compiling her most extensive Work, the Kenerson family genealogy. She died is 1962.
