Biography
John Clark Wood was born on June 18, 1901 in Newark, New Jersey. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1922. After graduation he worked for McCann-Erickson Inc. from 1923-1932 before becoming director and vice president of B. Altman and Company where he stayed until 1945. During World War II, he served as a major in the Army. After the war he became prsident of Brooks Brothers in New York City where he stayed until 1967.
