Allen, Robert Day, 1927-1986
Biography
Robert Day Allen was the Ira Allen Eastman Professor of Biology at Dartmouth College and a noted cell biologist. He was the founding editor of the scientific journal "Cell Motility" and discovered the Allen Video Enhanced Contrast (AVEC) method of microscopy in 1983. Allen was the recipient of many fellowships and grants. He died in 1986.
