Biography

Moses Ford Morrison was born November 28, 1788, in Corinth, Vermont, the son of David and Hannah (Whitaker) Morrison. He married Zilpha Smith in 1812, and attended Dartmouth Medical School, circa 1821-1823, receiving his MD in 1824. Dr. Morrison practiced medicine in New Hampshire, Vermont and New York, and died in Decatur, Ohio, November 1856.

Scope and Contents

Notes taken by Moses Morrison on lectures on chemistry, botany and medicine, delivered at the Dartmouth Medical School by professors Reuben Mussey, James Dana, Daniel Oliver and Usher Parsons. Includes a few maps and drawings as well as additional entries on his family, on French language, poetry, cribbage, chess and bars of music, perhaps added at later dates.
