Biography

Paul William Hodes was born on March 21, 1951 In New York City. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1972 and from Boston College Law School in 1978. From 1978 to 1980, Hodes worked as a lawyer for the New Hampshire Department of Justice. He was an Assistant Attorney General from 1980 until 1982. From 1983 until 1996, Hodes was in private practice. In 2004, Hodes ran unsuccessfully as a Democrat for the United State House of Representative. However, in 2006, he won the seat. He was reelected in 2008. In 2010, he ran unsuccessfully for the Senate. Hodes is currently Counsel to the firm of Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. in Concord, New Hampshire.
