Biography
Moody Currier Sawyer was born on October 2, 1807 in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in 1835. After graduation he opened a practice in Concord, Vermont. He gave up practicing medicine for health reasons and opened the first drugstore with H.B. Fowler in Bristol, Vermont in 1848. He continued in the active management of this business until his death on July 24, 1854.
