Chase, Stephen, 1813-1851

 

Biography

Stephen Chase was born on Aug. 30, 1813. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1832. He worked as a tutor for the College until he was hired as professor of mathematics in 1838. He held that position until his death in 1851.
